Mindfulness Skills for Recovery

  • An 8 week drop-in group to help individuals meet the day-to-day challenges of recovery from addiction.

  • Explore skills focusing on staying present, gaining awareness/control of thoughts, and disengaging with triggers, being mindful in challenging situations, acceptance, viewing thoughts as thoughts and more 

  • Please reach out to your clinician/ community support worker at the Community Psychiatry Clinic or East Region Mental Health to learn more

Moving Forward Skillfully

  • Topics from ACT therapy include: mindfulness, clarifying values, committed action, fusion vs. defusion, control vs. willingness, acceptance as an alternative, and action planning.
